This awesome bunch is all a part of the large Williamson Family. I was in my hometown Blackshear recently for a Williamson Family Reunion and some of my cousins wanted some Portraits done of their Beautiful Families.
My Aunt Bobbie is the Matriarch of this family. She is my mother's older sister, "my mother told me to be sure to put that in there ;)"
This is my Aunt with her Gorgeous three blond daughters.

This is my favorite cousin Susan with her handsome men.
Susan, make sure to teach these boys how to treat the girls right because if you don't, they will break a many a girls' hearts. What CUTIES!!!

This is the DDG 'drop dead gorgeous', Chaz. He is the oldest of all the grandchildren. I know they were so happy to get HIM. Aunt Bobbie has 4 girls!!!

I can not believe how old I am! I use to watch him some when his regular sitter was unavailable. My daughter Kyla was one at the time. SUSAN, where did the time go girl?

Meet Chandler. He is a hoot! A DDG like his big brother. I asked him to look at his Mom for this pose, can't you tell that he LOVES her?

Stevie and Susan. AWE!!! I might have to make more trips to Blackshear just to give this guy a hard time. ;) He sure had fun giving Susan one. You can handle him, right Susan? Just call me if you should need reinforcements.

This is my favorite Cousin Terry. ;) Terry, your family is beautiful too! I know that you are proud of them.

Cathy, I have to agree with everyone else, Sarah Jane is definitely Brian as a little girl. :) She looks just like him.

Maybe Mary Emma will look like you but this one, definitely goes to Brian.

Awe. How sweet. Cathy has many lives. She was in a horrible accident while in High School. She was not beleived to have lived then but she is still with us. And recently, after the birth of Mary Emma, she came close to death again and pulled through. Thank God! You have got to stop scaring us so much Cathy. ;) Glad prayers were answered.

You look as happy as can be!

AND here is Maxx. He is the son of Jacie, the youngest of Aunt Bobbie's 4 daughters. We hated that Jacie could not make it but Maxx made up for her absence with his Big and Beautiful Smile. He has a TON of energy!

Happy Veteran's Day!!!!!!!

We are extremely Patriotic in our home. My Husband Bill and I have both served in our Armed Forces. Bill is a VFW and I am so proud to be married to a brave Soldier of this Amazing country. We have tried to raise our children with a great respect for the United States and its Warriors. I knew when Kade came down this morning with his GI Joe's boots, gun and helmet in hand and displayed the fallen soldiers memorial,that he has a good amount of knowledge and respect for our Heroes.
Kinzi lead a Beautiful tribute to our Veterans. Bill and I LOVED their performance. It filled our hearts with pride and joy.

We went to downtown Charleston to the Veteran's Day parade. Here Kade is decorating the street with flags that we brought from home. He is dressed like a little soldier. He caught all the soldiers attention that were marching in the parade. They loved seeing him out there, as they enjoyed seeing everyone out there.
It was a GREAT Parade.
We thanked the soldiers as they passed our family.
The nostalgic details were amazing. Old jeeps, uniforms and check this guy out with his cigar. The best Veteran's Day Parade that we have ever attended. Great support cheering for the procession. We were so happy to have been apart of it.
As the motorcycles passed, the trumpets blared and the formations marched in cadence, Kade would ask us, "do you feel it?" and BOY DID WE!!!!!

Some of our POW's. What stories they could tell. "Thank you so much HEROES!!!!"
This was a very moving tribute to the 9 firefighters that recently lost their lives trying to save another. They are called the Charleston 9.
All gave some, some gave all.
It amazes me to see the determination of this country's heroes. It was a long route for these men, in very heavy clothing and the age of these men were "up there" but they were determined to honor the Veteran. I could not keep my eyes dry. It was emotion filled. We need to instill that same pride in the youth of today.

Sakura

So we got Kinzi to the store before the money burned a hole in her pocket! Her Daddy actually took her over to Toys R Us instead of Target as I had planned. She was so excited! She picked a robot girl named Sakura. Here she is!

Kinzi was allowed to pick anything and that can be so hard for her Dad and I. We warned her that the novelty would wear quickly but she quickly reminded us that she was allowed to pick whatever SHE wanted. So we zipped our lips and wouldn't you know 2 days later, she wants to take her back! What do you do? Anyway, Sakura has a permanent home here, or at least till Christmas comes and we have to make room for some more toys.

Award and Nomination

I have spent my morning at my daughter's school because she was having an Awards Ceremony. Kinzi's Dad and I are extremely proud of her efforts this year. She has worked very hard and very well in Mrs. Van Damme's 5th grade class. Her grades have put her on the Honor Roll for her first time. The excitement is in the air and the monetary reward that she received from us is about to burn a whole in her pocket. We have to get to Target really soon! Kinzi- We are SO PROUD of YOU!!! Keep up the Good Work Baby Girl!!!

Here are my Babies!

Here is my 13 year old as a sixties Chic. She loves the sixties and can tell you all sorts of nostalgic facts. I think that she may be in love with Elvis too! ; ) She kinda looks like a young Priscilla here.
A water fairy! It is so much fun when they decide what they want to become for Halloween. We have always put their costumes together ourselves. It is a ton funner that way for us. I think she makes an absolutely Gorgeous Water Fairy.

This was really not much of a stretch for Kade being that he is a Hockey Player and a very good one at that! I think "Dad" wanted him to be this more than him. But isn't he CUTE!!! He was so HOT under the pads and socks that he proclaimed next year he is going to be Tarzan! He is so FUNNY!!! I bet it will freeze next Halloween. ; )
I love this one. He looks so cute.

Here is my sister with her two girls, Miranda and Lauren. Miranda, the one with the fro turned 25 years old on Oct 23rd and it is so hard to believe. Happy Birthday again Miranda!! She had a costume party this past Saturday and I caught the three of them having a little fun on the dance floor. Here, Lauren doesn't look very friendly but she actually got voted Most Friendliest for her Senior Class. Way to go Lauren!! I will be sure to come back and post a few of my babies. We will have a Water Fairy, a 60's chic and either a hockey dude, Fantastic 4's rock man or fire dude. The anticipation is killing me!!! Be safe!!!!

I am SO excited to announce that Shara Lana Photography is going through some changes. FLOSITES has been working hard at helping me give Shara Lana Photography a new look. A look that reflects me, Shara Lana. Once you see it for yourself, I think those of you that do know me will be totally amazed and those that have not meet me yet, will get a good sense of what I am about. You can get just a little taste of the Yummy Splash page for my Website above, and I say little for a reason. ;) You will have to come back to see what I mean! It is going to be Funky and Fresh, that is what the wonderful and amazing artist Ross from Flosites has pegged it. I have been working with him, or should I say, he has been working very hard for me. He is a a true BLOG-God!!!!! Ross has great vision and has been a true blessing. He has Graciously Guided me in a direction that I was not sure about but he assured me that it would suit my style and personality. After seeing some of the ideas come alive, I have been unable to tame my excitement. You will all agree that Ross is an absolute genus! I can not wait to reveal the new look to you all! Will be VERY VERY SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first photo is of William and Stephanie Poteet, this image was taken while shooting their beautiful beach wedding with Jill Higgins. William's father is a well known clothier in Clemson and friends with the owners of Vineyard Vines. Since William was wearing some Vineyard Vines, he and Stephanie got featured in their wedding section. I think they look GREAT!!! Mandi & Josh's Charleston Wedding

This Beautiful Bride is Mandi. She sits at Waterfront Park in front of the Pineapple Fountain with her two adorable daughters, Logan and Avery. Mandi wanted to meet before her Wedding down at the Park for a special session of just her and her girls.

It was so sweet to watch the love that Mandi has for her two girls.

They are absolutely Precious!

I love this one with the three of them on their way to the ceremony down at Battery Park. They all seemed so eager to start this new chapter in their lives.

Down at the Battery, Mandi and Josh had a friend waiting with some peaceful acoustic music.

Avery, you were the prettiest flower girl.
And Logan was the Perfect Junior Bridesmaid too!!! I know your Mama was Proud of you two. Y'all are such well behaved darlings.

And here comes the Bride!!!! Mandi, you did a fantastic job in planning your Romantic Charleston Wedding.

Kelly & Tim's Beautiful Beach Wedding

Kelly and Tim got married on the Beautiful Isle of Palms. They are such a sweet couple and I was really excited that their Big Day had finally arrived. I meet Kelly and Tim back in July. We meet in Downtown Charleston for their "Get to Know You" Session. That is a complimentary session that comes with all of my Wedding Packages and is so Important. You can see their "Get to Know You" Session by clicking on that link at the end of this post. I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with them that day and knew that their Wedding would be So Beautiful and it was every bit of Beautiful and more.

This pretty bouquet is Kelly's. It, as well as the Matron of Honor's bouquet, were created by "Twee" of Jade Water Designs. She put together a stunning floral display on the yummy cake too.

Kelly's dress was simply elegant. It was a halter style dress trimmed with satin ribbon and a long row of sweet little buttons traveling down to her lovely trane.

I can only imagine how emotional a Mother can get on her Daughter's Wedding Day. Kelly's Mother, Betty, held it together, a huge task on your only Daughter's Big Day.

You can tell that these two share a very special bond.

This is little Miss Anna Grace. Love the Freckles! She was the perfect Flower Girl! Way to go Anna Grace!

I love this idea that Kelly and Tim chose to take part in during their ceremony. They each poured their own bottle of sand into a unity bottle representing becoming one. What a meaningful keepsake that they will have to cherish forever. I am sure that it will find a prominent place in the Wood's home.

Kelly was such a delight to watch. She was so full of Joy.

Kelly and Tim danced their first dance poolside under the palms. Perfect.

Lilia Suzanne Highers

I am so excited to announce the birth of the PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL Lilia Suzanne Highers. She is the new daughter to one of my favorite cousins, Suzanne. She was born on August 24th, weighing around 6 pounds 9 ounces. Suzanne and her husband Bart have desperately wanted a baby for several years and found out a few months ago that their baby girl was on her way. CONGRATULATIONS Suzanne and Bart!!!!! I am so Happy for ALL THREE of you!!!! Lilia is a Lucky Little Senorita to have you for parents!

Spending some Time Downtown Charleston with Jill Higgins

Today in Charleston was PERFECT!!!!! Absolutely Beautiful Weather, Downtown Historical Charleston, Jill Higgins, Great Food, did I mention Jill Higgins, and just an all around GREAT TIME!!!! Jill just about got attacked by a Crazy Squirrel and I was not at all prepared for the Great Action shots that I SO regret Not getting of her running for her LIFE!!!! It was HISTERICAL!!!!!!!! We will just have to retell the story for those that are interested. I have posted below some of my favorites from our outing. Thanks Jill for a Great Day of Fun and Learning. I always learn SO much from you!

This is my BEAUTIFUL Daughter, Kyla. We had the special treat of spending some time just the two of us in downtown Charleston. It was a great time! Kyla had wanted a "real" session, like the one that I do for all my clients. And she got it! She was a FABULOUS model and tons of FUN!!!!!

It was neat for her to see that aspect of my life. And she, like many of those that I photograph, was a bit in question of some of the spots that I chose. But she was amazed to see how you can take a location that seems plane or even ugly and play on its unique characteristics to yield absolutely gorgeous results.

AND when you are dealing with a beauty like Kyla, it doesn't matter what she stands in front of, she will make it look unbelievable!!!

Often times, it seems like yesterday that I was her age. And now I have her!!!! What an AWESOME GIFT!!!!

I am EXTREMELY PROUD of her!!!! She has always excelled in school and is in the Gifted Classes, way smarter than I ever was! ;) Actually, I was always in the top group myself and graduated with College Prep Credits, I couldn't let you think that I was dumb. Hey, SHE GETS IT FROM ME!!! ;)

But this girl gets her looks from HER DADDY!!!! BUT SHE IS Prettier!!!!!!!!!

I can NOT believe how grown you are!!!!!!!!!! (wiping away my tears)

Matter of fact, when we ate after her shoot, THEY BROUGHT US 2 CHECKS!!!!!!!!!!
I was in SHOCK!!!

The guy waiting on us thought that she was in college!!!! I was truly blown away!!!

You are AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL KYLA!!!!! Inside and out!!!

Kyla is very artistic as well. I have to give her credit for finding some good locations herself. She has the eye too!!

I am training her so that she can help me with some of my "office work". She is ready to make some money because SHE CAN SHOP!!!!!

She is a WONDERFUL big sister to her Little Sister and Brother.

The Awesome USS New York!!!!!!

In Honor of all the lives lost six years ago today, Here SHE is, the USS New York, made from the World Trade Center!

USS New York

It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center.

It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft.

Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite, LA to cast the ship's bow section. When it was poured into the molds on Sept 9, 2003, "those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence," recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there. "It was a spiritual moment for everybody there."

Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the trade center steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the "hair on my neck stood up." "It had a big meaning to it for all of us," he said. "They knocked us down. They can't keep us down. We're going to be back."

The ship's motto? "Never Forget"

I got the AWESOME pleasure of meeting this little fellow to do his 4 month old Session. He was so Pleasant during the whole session which is simply amazing. He is SOOOOOOOOOOO Perfect!!!!! My little girl is So in Love with him. She says that he should be the next Gerber Baby!!! I agree!!!

He was napping moments before this was taken and he was still trying to wake up. But still very Pleasant!

I LOVE this one! There are so many that I love of this little guy though. His home was Beautiful, his mother an unbelievable decorator!!!

Here, his doggie had his attention out the window. It was so cute to see the affection that he has for his pooch. I can't remember the dog's name. Comment below and fill us in!

His room was decorated in Elephants and Giraffes and was SO Cute!! Fitting for such a Cutie!!!

Ok, I couldn't resist! I stuck him in his drawer and I think it is adorable!

This one CRACKS me up!!!! I see a naked baby boy praying, "Oh Dear God, PLLEEEAASSSEEE let my Daddy wake-up and save me from this on going torture! I know that it will haunt me for years to come, when my Mother proudly displays it through out our Home so that EVERY one who enters shall have a good Laugh. OH Please Daddy, WAKE-Up!" (Daddy worked the night shift and was sound asleep in the next room =D)

Niki & Colin

Meet Colin!! He is such a cutie and on this day was FULL OF MOUNTAIN DEW!!! Thanks to Uncle Brian!! Those Uncle Brian's, my children have one too Niki!! ;)

He has such an adorable face, don't you think?

Niki wanted to do a session of just the two of them. She is about to get married to one of this Country's Brave Soldiers that is now serving over in Iraq and will be coming home soon. So it will be just the two of them only a short while longer and she wanted something special for just her and her little boy.

Niki is Such a Loving and Patient Mom. Colin is definitely a handful, especially filled with Mountain Dew, but Niki was so patient and loving through it all. Colin is so very lucky to have a Mommy like her.

I can only imagine that being a single Mom is the toughest job around but Niki knows how to have fun too!

FLY YOUR FLAG!!!!!!!!!!

(This was in an email that has been circulating around and I wanted to share. I feel that it is SO IMPORTANT! Pass it on.)

On Tuesday, September 11th, 2007, an American flag should be
displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the
United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an
American flag on this anniversary of our country's worst tragedy. We
do this in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families,
friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.
In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was
bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses
and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have
all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough
times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity.
Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can
prevail over terrorism of all kinds.

A Call to Action: So, here's what we need you to do...

(1) Forward this blog to everyone you know (at least 11 people
preferably from your home email acct.) Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.

(2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11.
Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't,
then at least make it a priority on this day.

Pawleys Island Wedding

This is Pawleys Island Chapel. It sits on the marsh and is just so cute. I had the privilege of photographing Maryann and David Mahood's Wedding there.

Maryann wanted a very simple and intimate Wedding and she did Perfect at planning it. The flowers were beautiful and her dress was so elegant.

I just love the feel of this one, the way the light picks up just enough of the Bride, Groom and Priest to let you know that you are viewing a sacred moment.

Here Maryann is holding her pretty flowers. I love the whole story this simply tells.

This is too cute. I smile every time that I see it. I love the Priest's huge approving grin.

There were a total of 12 attendees including the Bride and Groom! They traveled from New Jersey to be there with Maryann and David.

The Pappano Family

This is the Awesome Pappano Family. It was great to meet this family. I had a session the day before with their friends that are vacationing with them. Their friends were great and I knew that they had to be as well. They are here from Ohio and wanted to have a Beach Session done while here in Charleston.

You would think that a Hurricane was approaching by the winds that day. A ton of closed eyes avoiding the blowing sand but we managed to get some good ones.

This is their Beautiful 5 month old son. I like this one because it reminds me so much of the famous Gerber Baby.

Here are their three "EVERYTHINGS"!!! I could tell in that short amount of time that I spent with them that they REALLY LOVE their kids!!!

Just LOOK at their LOVE!!!

It was so cute to watch how Mom could make this baby laugh on cue!!! He would just giggle in delight!!!

I ALWAYS LOVE getting Dad holding his little girl's hand as the walk off. I envision it being displayed at her wedding one day. How sweet would that be?

I also LOVE getting Mom and Dad interacting, that is where it ALL began!!! Their Love created that beautiful Family.

Look how cute!!! Look at her little hands digging in the sand! I must have promised her a trip to Disney World to get her to sit still, she was a ball of energy and had no intention slowing down for anything.

This cutie is 16 this year, such a milestone in ALL their lives! I think he had the girls waiting for him after the session!

This is one of my favorites too. It is funny how I almost always capture the whole family looking at Mom. She is the center of their worlds, the glue that binds them, BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!

I had the Awesome privilege of meeting this Beautiful Family while they were here for their summer vacation. They wanted a session to document this precious time in their lives.

This is the little pack of dynamite that makes this time so memorable. She is such a cutie!!! Full of energy and definitely made me break a sweat! :)

She would not take her little crocs off because she does not like the sand! She is cute in them anyway!

She did not want anything to do with slowing down to get pictures but as soon as Mom and Dad focused on each other instead of her, she wanted to be right in the middle of it! Too Funny!!

And they did NOT have a problem at all with that!!! That is obviously where she stays, in the middle of their world and hearts!!!

I LOVE CLOSE UPS and this doll is perfect for them!!!!

I am sure these will be cherished forever.

I could just eat her up!!!!!

Laurie & Joe

This is Laurie and her husband Joe. Bill and I had the great pleasure of meeting them downtown for a wonderful dining experience at the Brewery. She was passing through the area and wanted to stop in to meet Bill and some of her other Charleston Comrades. They have been teaming together to get the VOD platform running at its peak. Laurie has been instrumental in saving Bill a many of headaches and for that Bill and I are very grateful.

Joe had my interest peaked as he spoke about his ideas in videography. It is great to hear someone so passionate about their dreams. I look forward to a future project that we are planning.

Poor Laurie arrived with one sprained ankle and managed to sprain the other as she was exiting a carriage tour. Of all places to be in such a predicament, Charleston!!! Where you walk forever exploring all its beauty!!!
It was a great time Laurie and Joe! Best wishes to you both on all your future plans!!!!!!!

1. I went into the Air Force right out of High School and served for 4 years, some of which were during Desert Storm!!! I AM A VET!!! :) "Off we go into the Wild Blue Yonder!!!!"
2. I have lived in Austin TX, Fort Walton Beach FL, Blackshear GA, Pittsburgh PA, Cartersville GA and NOW reside in Charleston SC all in the last 13 years! A bit of a Gypsy I guess! LOVE Change!!!!
3. I had a near death experience and can tell all about it in detail. I am Definitely NOT scared of death and feel incredibly privileged to have had the experience!
4. I love hiking through the great outdoors, especially through the North GA Mountains!!! LOVE IT!!!! Very Spiritual for me.
5. One night at 3 am I had 6 Sheriffs and 3 gun shot holes in my HOME!!!!!!!! Interesting Story!!!!!!!!
6. I gained the nick name Rocky in High School after I took on a High School Bully that had tormented me and others for 2 years! I guess that I just "snapped'! Don't PUSH ME TOO HARD!!!! ;)
7. I was a cheerleader for 10 years.
8. AND the MOST EXCITING tid-bit, I CAN basket-weave! No Joke!

Lauren, My BEAUTIFUL Niece!!!!!!!!

This is my niece Lauren that I LOVE Very Much!!!! We had a good time with a Modeling Session during my last visit home. She was such a GREAT model. We will definitely have to do that again!

She is a Senior this year and that is SO hard to BELIEVE!!!! It seems like yesterday when we were riding down the road on one of our many trips to Waycross playing the Alphabet Game.

Little Miss Bayleigh!!!!!!!!!!

I had so much fun while I was down in Georgia last week. While there, I was asked to do a session for a little girl named Bayleigh. I was one of her Dad's babysitters!!! Bayleigh is a little Firecracker!!! Full of personality! Got to LOVE it!!! Doesn't she look like a little model?

Here, she is playing Hide and Go Seek with her mom. It was adorable to watch this game play out. Her mother would call for her and tempt her with a trip to Wal-Mart. She struggled through the temptation and sat still for much longer than I would have ever imagined!

What a Little Pistol! I am sure that she can be a handful but I bet there is never a boring moment with her either. What a Little Blessing!!!

She had the funniest faces that she would make!!! Isn't she a cutie?

Over time we have discovered that love means a whole lot more than we thought when we first got married. THE GINGHAM DRESS

Wonderful story. Hope you enjoy.

A lady in a faded gingham dress and her husband, dressed in a homespun threadbare suit, stepped off the train in Boston , and walked timidly without an appointment into the Harvard University President's outer office.

The secretary could tell in a moment that such backwoods, country hicks had no business at Harvard & probably didn't even deserve to be in Cambridge "We'd like to see the president," the man said softly.

"He will be busy all day," the secretary snapped.

"We will wait," the lady replied.

For hours the secretary ignored them, hoping that the couple would finally become discouraged and go away. They didn't and the secretary grew frustrated and finally decided to disturb the president, even though it was a chore she always regretted.

"Maybe if you see them for a few minutes, they'll leave," she said to him!

He sighed in exasperation and nodded. Someone of his importance obviously didn't have the time to spend with them, and he detested gingham dresses and homespun suits cluttering up his outer office.

The president, stern faced and with dignity, strutted toward the couple.

The lady told him, "We had a son who attended Harvard for one year. He loved Harvard. He was happy here. But about a year ago, he was accidentally killed. My husband and I would like to erect a memorial to him, somewhere on campus."

The president wasn't touched. He was shocked.

"Madam," he said, gruffly, "we can't put up a statue for every person who attended Harvard and died.. If we did, this place would look like a cemetery."

"Oh, no," the lady explained quickly. "We don't want to erect a statue. We thought we would like to give a building to Harvard."

The president rolled his eyes. He glanced at the gingham dress and homespun suit, then exclaimed, "A building! Do you have any
earthly idea how much a building costs? We have over seven and a half million dollars in the physical buildings here at Harvard."

For a moment the lady was silent.

The president was pleased. Maybe he could get rid of them now.

The lady turned to her husband and said quietly, "Is that all it cost to start a university? Why don't we just start our own? " Her husband nodded. The president's face wilted in confusion and bewilderment.

Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stanford got up and walked away, traveling to Palo Alto, California where they established the university that bears their name, Stanford University, a memorial to a son that Harvard no longer cared about.

You can easily judge the character of others by how they treat those who they think can do nothing for them.

Mandi & Josh

This is the adorable Mandi and Josh. I call them Adorable because they would giggle with each other in the cutest way. In September, they will be having a destination Wedding here in Charleston at Battery Park. Mandi absolutely believes that she must have lived in Charleston in a past life because she feels so at HOME when she visits. There was no better spot to start their new lives as husband and wife than Charleston. In their questionaire they mentioned that they LOVE visiting Historical Homes together so I thought that setting up their Get to Know You Session at one of Charleston's most Beautiful Historical Homes would be PERFECT. I called the Edmondston-Alston House and spoke with Virginia Mizel there and she accomodated us very well. This Beautiful Historical House, which was built in 1825, has seen a wealth of dramatic events including the start of the Civil War just across Charleston's Harbor. Be sure to check out the rest of its history by clicking its name and scheduling your visit. I am sure Virginia will take very good care of you too. Thanks Virginia!!! We started the session on the second floor piazza over looking Charleston's Harbor. I think these two shots of Mandi and Josh's silloette's are just too cool!

Mandi and Josh were nice to watch. You can tell that they value the love that they share.

The next two black and white's came out with an edgyness to them which is a great compliment to the others that are so sweet and soft.

When I get the awesome privilege to share time with a couple that truly loves one another, I feel so incredibly grateful for my profession. I can not think of anything better!!

Mandi was so attentive to Josh. She seems like she would be such a great nurturer. She is the mother of two little girls and a Nurse, she obviously just has it in her.

Isn't it sweet the way that Josh admires Mandi? He was always gazing at her or had his eyes closed as if basking in the beauty of his life, just taking it all in.

Here they are testing out the joggling board on the 1st floor piazza. A must "try" if you are visiting Charleston!

I finally got the great pleasure of meeting Kelly Moore and Tim Woods this past Saturday in downtown beautiful Charleston. Kelly and I have been talking on the phone a good bit lately in preparation of her and Tim's upcoming September 15th Wedding. We started out at the Water Front Park's Peir and the famous swings. Here are a few of my favorites from their session. Be sure to watch their slideshow too.
We decided to met in Historical Charleston to have a little "Get to Know You" time. A "Get to Know You" Session is something that I offer complimentary to all Weddings booked. It gives the couple and I a chance to get to, well, know each other. So on their Big Day, that is one last thing that they have to worry about. It is very important for the Bride and Groom to enjoy that day to its fullest and that is my way of helping them do just that.

Kelly and Tim were both a bit bashful going into it but as you can tell by their results, they really did a FABULOUS job. I had a ball, they were so much fun. You would think that they were pros.

We were heading for this incredible spot which use to be the slave quarters when, I kid you not, a man driving down the road stopped his car, and got out to come tell me about it because it is truly a heavenly place and he did not want us to miss out. I could not believe his kindness!! That is one of those gifts that you must keep passing along.

I just love the lushness, like a little rain forest in Charleston.

It is a big day in the Pisowicz home!! Our baby boy has turned 6 today!!! We are having so much fun!! He has a new Polaris battery powered 4-wheeler and he is SO HAPPY!!!! My dear friend Jill Higgins came over a couple of days ago and documented a "Day in the Life of Kade" and she put it up on her blog today. Be sure to click on the link highlighted and check it out!! We were so happy to see the results and are truly blown away!!!! It is a priceless gift!!! We will treasure the beauty she captured forever!!! I recommend everyone to have this done of your children. Katherine was so much fun. The camera really loved her too. She is a very sweet up and coming Senior. I asked her what she was thinking of doing after graduation and she said that she wants to be a missionary!!! How COOL is that!!!! I know that Mom and Dad have to be bursting with pride!!! She is going to the Dominican Republic soon on a mission trip. I think that is so awesome for young people to experience and I wished I would have taken the chance back then. But hey, it is not to late! Maybe I still will!

These are only a few of the many pics that I took of Katherine but I wanted to get them up for her. I know that she was anxious to see them. After a few days or the weekend, I will post the best of the rest.

These are our new twin nieces that live down in Tampa Florida! Aren't they precious!?!! We were so happy to be able to visit with them over our vacation. It was really hard leaving them!! We ALL fell in TOTAL LOVE with them both!!!

This is the Perfect New Family!!! We took these photos in their backyard. We were a bit rushed due to the scorching heat and approaching lightening storm. Everyday that we were there, it stormed just as we were heading out to take the Family's portrait! But we managed to get a few and just a few before the rains came. They had the ideal back drop right in their backyard!

Here is Uncle Bill with Breena! He has not lost his touch. All three of our kids "tried" to convince him that we should have more! FUNNNNNNNYYYYY! This is truly the best! We don't Have to stay up at night! ;)

This is tiny yet spirited Baylinn on her Mother's antique chair. Dad has his hand on her back for measurement. She was right at 7 lbs when we left! That is Awesome! They were premies but are doing AMAZING!!!!

Cousin Kyla!!! I can not express enough of how in total AWE of her that I am. She is such a natural! She helped out tremendously, soooo much in fact, Uncle Brian and Aunt Britten are wanting her back as often as possible!!!

Proud new Papa in his honorary PINK shirt!!!!!! Britten said that he should be a model, I think he just may have a shot!!!

If you know me at all, I am always looking for little 'signs' from above or something that has extra meaning or just something that is a nice surprise. Here, I found it, look close (you can click to enlarge) and you will see a dragonfly. I think stuff like that is extremely cool!!!! I always take it as my gift from God, a little affirmation that I am doing what I am suppose to be doing. It is always nice to feel His presence!

Look at this little man! Cousin Kade loves his new girl cousins although he did make mention to Aunt Britten that "they could really be boys but we just don't know it yet"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How cute!! Always so entertaining! He is one of two boys on both sides in a sea of girl cousins!

Little Feet! Too Sweet!! Brian and Britten will have to study this pic along with the one below to determine whose tootsies are whose. One of my many mix-ups with these two twin girlies.

Lovely Mommy with her darling daughters. Britten is doing a fantastic job of being a new Mom. She realizes that this time will be very short and she has a great attitude about the lack of sleep that comes with two.

Cousin Kinzi!! She too was a trooper with the babes. She was terrific with them. She turned 10 the day that we left and by the gentle and careful way that she handled them, you would think that she turned 20!

LOVE - I just love how this sweet photo shows where it all began and what is mighty important for these babies to always be a witness to, the Love between their Mom and Dad.

This gives me the same feeling as before but only a bit more sensual. Hey, Nothing wrong with that!!!!

This exceptional Family's future is SO bright with SO much to look forward to!!!

This is pretty darn cool here! I am sure Brian and Britten will love it! Tough Dad that has lived a little with his tatoos to show for it and his delicate and innocent baby girls.

I have been SUPER MOM for the past 3 weeks, driving anywhere from 2 to 4 hours a day chauffeuring my girls between camps!!!! It has been CRAZY!!! On top of that, I have been taking my son to Hockey practices and games and also my oldest daughter to Figure Skating lessons. And then about a million other things that have to do with my Photography Business and Home Life. It has been very hectic but all GOOD! All of our lives have been enriched by all those that have been a part of the last three weeks. When I get back from our vacation, I will be doing a LOT more of this:

Junior Camp Counselor!!!!!!!!

This is our Teenager!!! She has been enjoying being a Jr. Camp Counselor out at James Island County Park for the last couple of weeks. Her last day is tomorrow and I hope to get out there early enough tomorrow to get some pics for her with all her campers! They are CRAZY about Kyla!!! I took my other two kids out there to the Splash Zone water park the other day. When we were there, we witnessed Kyla being swarmed by all the children that adore her. It was so cute and a proud moment for me.

Here is Grace, the Senior Camp Counselor that Kyla worked with for the two weeks. Grace was really sweet to Kyla and a great role model to them all. Thanks Grace for taking care of my Junior Camp Counselor.

This is one of many campers that loved Kyla. He was a super sweet boy!!!

She came home and taught her little sister and brother some great games. They adore her too!!! She can be so much fun!!!!!!! We are so proud of you!!!!!!!

Our Drama Queen!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is our little actress!! She has been at Drama Camp for two weeks and the camps finale was this past Saturday. They put on an AWESOME production called Beauty is a Beast. It was Terrific. I am convinced more than ever now that my girl has got something. Matter of fact, I am already planning to send her to another drama camp next month here in town. I am SO PROUD of her!!! (She is the PRETTY one in the velvet blue dress and yellow flowers around her head.)

These were the narrator "fairies". They were so comical and the Jester was a riot!!Great performers!!!!!!

Here, my daughter is trying to offer Beauty, that is truly a Beast, a piece of fruit.

This is the Fairy Godmother and BOY was he, I mean She, a hoot!!! What a sport!!!! She had a plan for that Beast of a Beauty!!!

My Girl deserves an academy award!!! She finds it hysterical that the Beauty actually looks more like a troll. The Fairy Godmother's plan worked! The Beast had a healthy dose of Humble Pie!!!!!!!! Great Work Drama Team!!!!!!!!!!! We were truly entertained!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can You Believe it????? A SHARK in Charleston's Famous Pineapple Fountain!!! OH MY!!!!!!!!

Silly me! It is NOT a shark, it is my little Mister!!! What a SMILE!!! He has wanted to jump in every time that we are down at water front park but we always have somewhere to be. So since sister's were at camp, I decided to take him for a surprise. Judging by his smile that could not get any bigger, he was HAPPEEEEEEE!!!

He had a kickin' good time!!

So I did as most firm and balanced parents would do, I bargained!

Historical St. Andrew's Church Wedding

This stunning wedding took place at the Old St. Andrew's Parish Church. It is the oldest surviving church in South Carolina. Last year the Parish celebrated its 300th Anniversary. As you can see, a beautiful church to start your lives together. This wedding was just about as formal as one can get. The men wore white gloves and tuxedos with tails and the ladies were styling in the prettiest tailored dresses. Everything was so well thought out before so all that was left was to enjoy the Bride and Grooms Big Day! And that they did! If rain truly means luck on your Wedding Day, then this couple can't get any luckier. Barry, the second named tropical storm for 2007 made his introduction but this couple did not get upset about it one bit, they knew what was important, their LOVE.

Caught this image of the Bride and her sister as I was juggling an umbrella, camera and gear. The Bride and Groom were in a small room just off of the main chapel, enjoying some time with their family after the ceremony. They spotted me outside and eagerly opened the blinds for this great shot. It really sums up the day quite well, stormy and wet on the outside but shining on the inside. I think there is a lesson in that!

Our family is so EXCITED to announce the births of Baylinn and Breena Pisowicz! We will be going down to Florida to meet our little nieces very soon! Kyla, Kinzi and Kade have been storing up great amounts of LOVE for their new COUSINS!! Brian and Britten are the proud new parents of these two gorgeous little angels. They have been through so much to get these girls here safely. They were born on May 30th weighing in over 5 healthy pounds EACH! This is truly amazing for twins born that early. Not one day spent in NICU!! Way to Go Britten!! You fought an awesome battle for your babies!! Brian Pisowicz, the proud NEW DADDY, is Bill's brother and Shara's brother-in-law.

You will first see my bright and cheerful new logo! I love circles and the many beautiful things that they represent, so this logo is perfect for me. They are also very FUN and Cheerful!! Got to like it!!

The WEDDING site will show my recent work here in Charleston. Beautiful Beach Wedding

This was such a beautiful wedding!! Sure the people were dressed to kill, the decor was to die for, the location was exquisite but what truly made this so memorable and heartwarming was the LOVE that this BEAUTIFUL couple share. William is such a super nice guy, the best friend we all need and Stephanie is such a gentle spirit that frees those in her presence. Here we started at the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church down on King Street. It is located next to the Francis Marion, where the wedding party got prepared and the reception would be held.

It was my honor to escort this stylin' guy, one that 'Dad' is truly proud of, over to the church to meet his lovely bride.

I had the awesome privilege of taking some Beach Portraits for the Hamilton Family. Richard and Sandy have three beautiful daughters. You can tell that they are proud of their family and they have all the reasons in the world to be. Each of their girls has given them grandchildren to spoil. They don't have any signs of being spoiled, they were all so well behaved. You all look so Great!!!

Charleston is Amazing. It is like a maze of cobblestone roads and allies. Around every corner there is a surprise. We, Jill and I, went downtown a few weeks back to get some Senior Pics for a beautiful girl named Tori. We had a lot of fun finding spots to shoot that were full of character. I was able to grab a few shots when I wasn't fighting the reflector. A reflector is a tool that photographers use to bounce light onto a subject and let me tell you, those beautiful allies and roads turn into wind tunnels! It is like fighting a bear sometimes holding that big reflector. But good news, no one was injured and Tori got some stunning shots that will help her to remember this milestone in her vibrant life. The Langsam's LOVE the beach and each other!!!!!

This is a great family that has a huge passion for the beach!! Before we got started, the kids were geared up for the beach but I was able to settle them long enough to get a shot or two in.

Miss Ema wanted to rest in the cool soft clover which smelt so sweet. I think she looks extra sweet.

It wasn't till I got them down to the beach that I learned where that passion really comes from, DAD!!! It was a true adventure for me!! I learned so much! There was a lot of shells, coral, jelly fish, and tons of other stuff that had washed up on the beach that day and I will not begin to try to explain them all BUT OH COULD DAD! He holds a degree in it!!!!!! Here they are examining a shell of a horseshoe crab.

Can you tell that Ema has a ton of LOVE for her Dad? I am sure she is a Daddy's girl too!

This is too cute. Little Andrew trying to take care of his Mom's wind blowing hair. I think he did a fantastic job!!! SHE looks GREAT Andrew!!

This is about the only 'DRY' picture that I have of Andrew!!! They were like at Disneyland but only better! There was no bridling them once they hit the sand, so Mom and Dad let them loose and did Andrew ever! He jumped right in with no hesitation!!! You can tell him and the ocean are close pals having spent many days together!

Dunes West Wedding

This beautiful wedding took place on April 28th at Dunes West. The setting was filled with southern charm. The ceremony overlooked the marsh and was under a moss draped huge old oak. As you can see here, it doesn't get much more low country than this.

This southern mansion was also part of the scenery that everyone attending got to enjoy.

What an awesome day to have a wedding!! Blue sky's and cool breezes!! Could not have been planned better.

This is the magnificent JILL HIGGINS!!!!!! I caught her in action here performing her photographic magic!!! She is so kind to allow me to venture out with her on these dreamy weddings that she has booked. I will be forever grateful for her good nature. And oh my goodness, have I learned so much! Judging by the smile on the groom's face, he is totally pleased with the beauty he sees in his bride. This is the first moment that Kyle saw Ashley in a new but all too sweet tradition that is taken place before the ceremony. It is such a tender priceless unforgettable moment for them to cherish forever.

After the sun was beginning to set and the magic began to happen, I caught this of the bride and groom while in prayer and what is especially magical about it is how the moss formed a heart just above their heads.

Moments like this only come by once in a lifetime. What a tremendous privilege it is to be a photographer to be able to preserve these moments for them. They will be able to journey back to that time and relive it in their hearts every time they look back at their photographs.

This night totally validated my desire to be a photographer!!! This family was a dream!!! They were so relaxed and knew how to have some fun and it shows so well in the results. They wrote me an email when they got home from the session to let me know that they all had a ball!!! What a nice compliment but let me tell you family, I am the one that had the ball!!!!!! I had the great pleasure of meeting these cuties in the park one day on James Island and had a little fun taking some pics while they played. Their parents liked the first set so much that we did a second shoot at the beach. They are so much fun!!! Their mother, in an attempt to capture their attention and smile, would ask if they were princesses and it worked everytime!! I know they really believe they are princesses!!!! And you know what, I believe it TOO!!!

I think the world of this family!! The little girl was one of the first to greet us when we moved into our new home the end of last summer. She brought over yummy brownies that her Dad and her baked!!! She is the politest child I know!!! So Sweet!! The whole family is Great!!! I know they would do anything for anybody!!! Just that type of folks!!! Glad I was able to capture a few family portraits for you!!!!!!!!!
Their home sits on the marsh which made a nice backdrop for this shot!!
I love this one with them gazing into each others eyes!!! How Sweet!!!!

I had never heard of ION before this wedding, but OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it a place to visit!!!!!!! Like for a Sunday drive!! It is very wild!!!! Jill Higgins took me with her on Sunday to shoot a wedding there. THANKS JILL!!!! See Jill's site, located in Links I love in sidebar, for more photos!! She started telling me about this community right as we were pulling in!!! It is in Jill's terms "Mayberry meets Charleston" and that is so true. It was a beautiful place for this couple to start their lives together!!! Every house had a WHITE PICKET FENCE, kid you NOT!!!!!!!!! There was a mother pulling her children in a red wagon, a grandmother helping her grandson plant flowers by the curb, a grandfather rocking a grandbaby to sleep on the front porch and I could go on and ON!!!!!!! We could not stop laughing!!! It was like the twilight zone, but in a very cute nostalgic way!! My congratulations go to the Bride and Groom for their storybook wedding!! Wishing you many years filled with white picket fences!!!!!!!!

The colors and flowers that were chosen were BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

Lexi ~ YOU are SO BEAUTIFUL! We had So much FUN!!! She told me that someone once told her that those cute freckles were angel kisses!!! I think she's an Angel!!!

She was so easy to work with and so willing to get into the moment. Although her family had to stay inside with the blinds closed!!!! Strict orders from Lexi!! It really works better that way!!! Her mom, Gina, was very agreeable with that idea and it made for an awesome shoot!!! Thanks!!!

I had the awesome opportunity to go help Jill Higgins with one of her weddings on Saturday!! I was the 2nd shooter for her at the beautiful Mills House in downtown Historical Charleston. Jill is so COOL!!! A well oiled machine indeed!!! I love her style!! Just the right amount of EVERYTHING!! I could not have hand picked a better mentor if I had tried. It is fate that I am able to work with Jill. I have thanked God for her every night since we meet. REALLY! I will be forever indebted to her. Jill has taught me more than I could have ever imagined in such a short amount of time!!!! She is also one of my biggest cheerleaders!!! "Thank YOU JILL for believing in me!!!! YOU ROCK!!!" She is a Dixie Girl like me from my neck of the woods and has made it here to Charleston too but only a few years earlier. Jill is so SWEET and DOWN TO EARTH!!! Would do anything for anybody!! Caught this sunset at the battery the other night.
Then went down to the Customs House and got this night shot of the Market Pavilion Hotel. Pretty Cool!!!

Earlier on the way to the battery, I caught this couple walking down the street!!!! My cousin Suzanne and her husband Bart from TN!!! I knew they were coming for a visit but they decided on a whim that they would leave that morning and had just got into town. They were going to surprise me in the morning. But I ended up surprising them by running down the street like a crazy woman to greet them!!! How Unbelievable that we would be there at that very second!!! Will never forget it!! Awesome!!

I Love You Suzanne!!! So glad to have you in my life!!!!!!! Thanks for being so encouraging!!! What would I do without YOU?
